Aside from availing the service of some companies, you may also try it on your own. You can spend lesser if you will try to do it your own. Here are the steps on how to successfully make your decorations look even better everyday.

There are two types of marbles. One is the natural and the other is cultured. You first have to know which type you have. The way of cleaning and checking will not be the same for both that is why it is necessary that you really know what it is.

The major reason of stain is usually when something spills directly on it and is not cleaned immediately. Because of the span of time that it was left, it directly seeps through the marble making it hard to takeoff. That is exactly why you need to make sure that you immediately clean the stain the moment it spilled. In case you were not able to notice it immediately, you may use a sponge or any clean cloth dipped in a lukewarm water to start cleaning it.

After rinsing it, you can already do the polishing. A natural type sometimes scratches easily. So, that means that you really have to be extra gentle. You may get a dry and clean mop to do it. The next thing that you have to do is to completely dry the marble with a clean cloth.

There is also a mixture which you can easily make. You only need a baking soda and water. For the baking soda, you will be needing only three tablespoons of it and a quarter of water. You only need just a thin layer to put on the surface then let it dry for 5 hours. But it is not accomplished yet. You still have to get a cloth and water to rinse it off.

On the other hand, a cultured marble is so much easier to clean and polish. It does not scratch easily at all since it has a coating which protects its surface. Although it does not get damaged that easy, it still needs the same amount of care as the natural one.

In removing the stains, you may use a brush which has nylon bristles. You also need a non abrasive household cleaner. Remove the stains by gently scrubbing its surface. You may use hard water vinegar in case there are stains that are hard to take off.

As you observe, it is almost the same procedure for both. The difference is that, there are more stuff needed when cleaning a natural marble. What ever type you have, you simply have to make sure that it is clean all the time. As much as possible, you need to inspect them on a daily basis. As said, things that are made with this material is expensive. You sure can not afford seeing yours totally scratched and damaged due to your own negligence. If you think you can not monitor it every now and then, you may ask someone else to do so.
