Frances Farmer, whose life was the subject of the 1982 film, "Frances, " is one of the town's most notable citizens.

The climate, an important factor if you are thinking of locating here, is comfortable in the summer and autumn half of the year. Temperatures here average in the 70s and 80s Fahrenheit. Winters can get very nippy, with January, February and March being the coldest months. It is not unusual for the temperature to dive below the freezing point of 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

The town of Noblesville is slightly north of Indianapolis, the capital of Indiana. Noblesville has a land area of 31 square miles and hosts a population of 52 thousand individuals, making the population density a highly acceptable 1,600. The town is inside America's Corn Belt. The first Indiana state senator, James Noble, came from here and the town is, in fact, named after him. The served three terms in the US Senate between the years of 1816 and 1831, when he died at the age of 46. In terms of the local school system, most Noblesville students attend schools within the Noblesville School District. A few go to schools in the Hamilton Southeastern School District.

Carmel, like Noblesville, has a low population density (1,700). The town was once known as Bethlehem but it was renamed at the same time it was incorporated in 1874. Noteworthy Noblesville citizens include Adam Vinatieri (football player), Lee Schmidt (designer of golf courses), and Ted Allen, television personality.

The public school system in Carmel is responsible for 11 elementary schools, one high school, and three middle schools. This is an important factor for families looking for lofts in Carmel IN. There are also several private schools in the area. Among the companies with their headquarters in Carmel are CNO Financial Group, Delta Faucet, and ITT Technical Institute.
